The Provincial Premier Cup Kicks off On Sunday, June 28

Mountain United FC hosts the top EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League teams at Burnaby Lake West Sports Complex

Vancouver BC, June 26 2015 – The top U13-U18 EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) teams will go head to head on Sunday, June 28 to play for the Provincial Premier Cup.  Mountain United FC will host all of the teams at Burnaby Lake West and both the boy’s and girl’s matches will take place on Sunday June 28.

“With the Canadian Women’s National team playing a Women’s World Cup quarter final match on Saturday we decided to  move both the boy’s and girl’s BC Soccer Provincial Premier Cup matches to Sunday which should make for an incredible weekend of soccer,” said Don Dancey, BC Soccer Youth Competitions Chair. “We especially want to thank Mountain United FC for all of the work they have put into the Provincial Premier Cup and we are really looking forward to watching some of BC’s best youth players in action.”

Six clubs from the BCSPL will be represented at the Provincial Premier Cup including: Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC, Surrey United SC, Coastal FC, Fusion FC, Fraser Valley Premier and the hosts Mountain United FC.

“This is a very exciting weekend for all of the players involved and the matches in the U14, U16 and U18 age divisions are also qualifying matches to determine which teams will represent British Columbia at the Canada Soccer Association Sport Chek National Championships,” said Carlos Grosso, BC Soccer Director and High Performance Committee Chair.“There are sure to be some incredible matches and we welcome everyone to come down to Burnaby Lake West to watch some of BC and Canada’s top youth soccer teams.”
