The EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League's Fourth Season Finishes up this Weekend

The EA Sports BCSPL Phase Two League Cup Finals Hosted by Fusion FC Kickoff Saturday November 21

Vancouver, BC, November 19, 2015 – After another successful season The EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League phase two will finish up this weekend with the league cup finals. The EA Sports BCSPL is in its fourth season and falls within the High Performance stream of soccer which includes the BCSPL, BC Soccer High Performance Program (HPP), Whitecaps FC Residency, and Whitecaps Rex Program in Partnership with BC Soccer, all in support of Canada Soccer National Team programs. The fourth season of the BCSPL was the first under the new President of the league, Alex Barnetson and over the course of the four years the EA Sports BCSPL has seen many players move into the Whitecaps FC Rex Program in partnership with BC Soccer as well as BC Soccer High Performance Programs and Whitecaps FC Residency Programs. The EA Sports BCSPL has also seen more than 260 players move onto Colleges across Canada and the USA.

“Former president David Haber and current president Alex Barnetson have done a wonderful job overseeing the EA Sports BCSPL for the past four years,” said Matt Holbrook, General Manager of the EA Sports BCPL. “The EA Sports BCSPL successes are evident with many players moving on to Whitecaps FC, Canada Soccer Programs, and post-secondary soccer programs and we really look forward to continuing to grow the league and the players within it.”

The 2015 BCSPL League Cup Finals are being hosted by Fusion FC by Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22 at Trillium Park in Vancouver and will feature 10 boys and eight girls’ teams playing nine matches in five different age divisions.

U17 boys – 1:00pm:  Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC vs Thompson Okanagan FC
U16 boys – 3:30pm:  Surrey United SC vs Coastal FC
November 22 @ Trillium Park, Vancouver
U13 girls – 1:00pm:  Surrey United SC vs Coastal FC
U15 girls – 1:00pm:  Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC vs Mountain United FC
U14 girls – 3:30pm:  Coastal FC vs Mountain United FC
U17 girls – 3:30pm:  Surrey United FC vs Mountain United FC
