Vancouver, BC: BC Soccer is aware of the financial issues that are currently being faced by Gorge Soccer Association and has been and will continue to actively support the Executive in their efforts to address the short and longer term challenges they face.

BC Soccer recognizes and commends the very transparent and swift action that the Acting President and Gorge Soccer Association Executive are taking since this matter came to light and the difficult circumstances in which they are operating in.

BC Soccer wishes to thank club members, local community representatives, and in particular the Municipality of Saanich for their support and patience in what are, and likely continue to be, challenging times as Gorge Soccer Association build towards re-establishing themselves to ensure long term financial stability.  BC Soccer is confident that with continued support from its parent bodies, Lower Island Soccer Association, Vancouver Island Soccer League, Lower Island Women’s Soccer Association, it will continue to deliver locally against our mission of developing the game by inspiring British Columbians to lifelong active, inclusive and team play.

Gorge Soccer Association is one of the largest and most historic soccer clubs on Vancouver Island and in British Columbia.  The club prides itself on being an active member of the local community with a rich tradition in providing playing opportunities for all ages as well as achieving local and Provincial on-field success.
