BC Soccer is accepting Awards Nominations 2014

Vancouver, BC:  BC Soccer recognizes a number of exceptional volunteers within its membership annually by way of the BC Soccer Awards Program.  These award winners represent the hundreds of volunteers across the province who are the heart of soccer in BC. They are the individuals who administer, coach, officiate, schedule whom without; the players of BC would not be able to participate in our beautiful game.

We are pleased to inform the membership of the association that we are currently accepting nominations until the submission deadline date of April 6, 2014.

Selection of the award recipients is based on many factors including the individual’s commitment, community involvement and willingness to give back to the game.

In recognition of their outstanding achievements at the Provincial, National and International level, awards are also presented to the top youth and adult players and officials from our membership base. Future recipients will hope to follow in the footsteps of notable past winners including Marcus Haber (English Division 1 Player with Stevenage Borough and Canadian Men’s national team), Michelle Pye (FIFA Women’s World Cup referee) and Christine Sinclair (current Captain and all-time leading goal scorer on the Canadian Women’s National team).

Throughout the year, leagues, clubs, teams, and players can submit nominations for the BC Soccer Fair Play award.  Although the final award will not be handed out until the awards ceremony, BC Soccer will showcase award nominees on our website and social media channels to help promote fair play throughout the year.
