There is anticipated to be ten (10) positions open for election including 1st Vice President, Vice President Senior, five (5) 2 year director terms, and three (3) 1 year director terms.

The elections process will commence with that of the 1st Vice President, then VP Senior and conclude with electing Directors-at-Large. While the normal term of office is two years, due to prior appointments of certain directors to fulfill terms that became vacant, there are several Director-at-Large positions that will be only one (1) year terms. .  Candidates who are not successful in their challenge for a specific position may challenge for another position as it becomes open for election.

Consistent with past practice, an individual may be nominated directly from the floor at the Annual General Meeting which is to be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre, 4331 Dominion Street, Burnaby, BC. While this may be done, the membership has indicated a strong preference for candidates to declare their interest well in advance of the AGM. Following this process allows the membership to give greater consideration to each candidate.

There are a variety of positions on the BC Soccer Board of Directors up for election at the 2013 AGM. BC Soccer has compiled the candidates' applications that have been received to date for you to compare the various candidates' qualifications, experience and visions for BC Soccer.  As a democratic organization, we believe that it is important for the membership to be able to exercise an informed vote.

The candidates' information is provided to the BC Soccer Membership to further that goal. BC Soccer encourages the members to take the time to review the candidates' information, distribute it and discuss it as necessary within their networks to best inform their vote. If any member organization president / chair wishes to contact candidates in advance of the AGM, they’re of course welcome to do so.

A reminder that there will be an All Candidates meeting at the AGM where member representatives can pose further questions to the candidates.

For any questions on the election process or the candidates, please contact the BC Soccer Nominations Committee Co-Chair, Murray Mollard 604-767-7421 and/or
