BC Soccer Excited to Host Their First Technical Director Diploma Course

Vancouver BC, November 27, 2017 – With more than 80 individuals registered BC Soccer is excited to host their first Technical Director Diploma course focused on supporting individuals who are responsible for providing technical leadership for their soccer organization.  The course will be presented by Paul Varian of Capitus Consulting and is aimed at individuals who currently hold a Technical Director position and for those who may be in the capacity to oversee those responsibilities whether full-time, part-time, or as a volunteer.  The TD Diploma course is also for those individuals who want to learn the skills to pursue a role as a technical lead in the future.

The TD Diploma Course is a two-day course being held at Fortius Sport and Health on December 8-9 and will give attendees the education and training they need to fulfill the many aspects of a technical director role. The course will consist of presentations, case study analysis and interactive discussions which will enhance attendees current skills and experience.

BC Soccer is pleased to provide this added educational opportunity which stems from the 2016-2019 strategic plan. The strategic plan identified various ways and objectives to help support soccer and better service the members. One of these objectives is to provide technical and operational leadership in Program Execution which includes providing these types of added services to support soccer and the people within it, in British Columbia.

The Technical Director Diploma Course will be held on December 8 & 9, 2017 at Fortius Sport and Health. The cost for the two-day course is $160+gst. All attendees will receive a Technical Director Diploma certificate upon 100% attendance and post-course task completion.
