BC Soccer Delivers its NEW C License Coaching Course in North Vancouver in Conjunction with Training Regional Learning Facilitators

The new C License replaces the B-Pretest course and becomes the entry level for coaches who are pursuing the Licensing Stream coaching pathway (C License, B License and A License programs). Coaches who currently hold a B-Pretest designation will have a 2 Year window ending December 31, 2017 to enter the Provincial B License program directly.  After this date, the B-Pretest will cease to be recognized and any coach who does not hold a B License Provincial designation or higher will be required to meet the entry requirements for the C License prior to progressing in the Licensing Stream.

Vancouver BC July 14, 2016 - BC Soccer Learning Facilitators; Andrew Latham, Dom Butcher, Dante Zanatta, Ciaran McMahon, Mark Parker, Regan Mostat, Neil Turner and BC Soccer Manager of Coaching Development Rob Csabai led the four-day C License Coaching course in North Vancouver. Twenty coaching candidates took part in the course which is designed and targeted at those coaches who are looking to move into the Licensing Stream within the Coaching Pathway.

“In addition to our successful launch of the new C License course, BC Soccer is pleased to host two additional courses in the upcoming 6-8 months held on Vancouver Island and in the Interior as well”, said Rob Csabai, Manager of Coach Development.  “The C License is designed for coaches who want to deepen their knowledge of coaching and challenge themselves to be evaluated in order to move forward in their soccer education and in the Licensing Stream coaching pathway.”

The C License Coaching program is a Canada Soccer initiative that will be implemented in all regions of the country and this course in North Vancouver was BC Soccer’s first.  In the coming months, BC Soccer will confirm hosting additional C License course dates and locations in 2016 and into early 2017.
