BC Soccer congratulates four more organizations for achieving Charter status

Faly Academy, Premier Soccer Academy, Supra Fitness and Sport and Cliff Avenue United join our growing list of Charter Organizations

July 17, 2020 - Vancouver BC

To achieve Charter Status, organizations are asked to complete a series of mandates in the governance, administration, and technical aspects of their operation, with the aim of providing best practices to their members.  In addition to realizing higher standards for players, coaches, referees and parents, BC Soccer offers Charter members additional support and recognition.

Among the Charter criteria, is mandatory criminal record checks for every single coach and team official, along with adherence to Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development stages.  BC Soccer visits each club that opts into the program to help them plan and work toward achieving all the standards outlined.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, BC Soccer would like to officially recognize our newest Charter members:

Faly Academy

"As a For-Profit club, Faly Academy had few options to participate in the formal soccer

system in its early years.  However, with all of the constitutional changes implemented over the last forty-eight months, we are very excited to become a Charter Club member of BC Soccer.  The Academy has always wanted to be part of organized soccer in the Province.  As always, we will strive to infuse our players with the passion to learn and compete with the best, while having fun and respecting both the game and the community."   Mark Marshall – Director

Premier Soccer Academy

“Premier Academy's long term vision is to professionally develop Canadian youth on and off the field.  We are excited to reach the next stage in this journey and are hopeful we can inspire youth in our community.   - Cognition - Competence – Character."  Coach Shawn Agnew - Owner & Director of Premier Soccer Academy

About BC Soccer Charter Program

BC Soccer’s Club Charter Program was rebranded in 2019 to the Charter Program to become inclusive for both members and associate members as well as being positioned under the newly introduced Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program.

The Charter is a free “opt-in” program based on three top line categories being, Technical, Governance, and Administration and enables these organizations to be recognized and receive support and added service from BC Soccer regardless of the organization's size and location within BC.
