BC Soccer Board Enforces Immediate Interim Suspension

After being made aware of serious allegations and the arrest of a volunteer youth soccer coach, the BC Soccer Board has implemented an immediate suspension.

Vancouver BC, February 5 2014 – BC Soccer was made aware of serious allegations and the arrest of Kuldip Singh Mahal late on the afternoon of February 4, 2015.

Having reviewed the allegations, information available and discussed this with Surrey United SC with whom the individual the accused was involved with, the BC Soccer Board of Directors passed a motion in line with the BC Soccer Rules and Regulations – Discipline Rule 10.

Kuldip Singh Mahal is therefore suspended immediately from all soccer related activities.

BC Soccer’s decision supports the decision taken by Surrey United SC to suspend the alleged coach immediately.  BC Soccer has offered Surrey United SC any appropriate support they need while dealing with such a serious matter.

BC Soccer will make no further comment at this time.
