BC Soccer announced its rosters for the Men's and Women's provincial programs that will be traveling to Sherbrooke, Quebec for the 2013 Canada Summer Games

Vancouver, BC, July 8, 2013 - BC Soccer announced its rosters for the Men’s and Women’s provincial programs that will be traveling to Sherbrooke, Quebec for the 2013 Canada Summer Games. Head Coaches Martin Nash (Men’s Program) and Jesse Symons (Women’s Program) made selections through scouting the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League training and match play environments and through the recommendations from head coaches, technical directors, and BC Soccer’s ongoing high performance development partnership with Vancouver Whitecaps FC and their Girls Elite program.

“We are pleased to be able to offer additional opportunities to British Columbia’s high performance players within the 1995 and 1996 age groups,” said Michael Findlay Director of Soccer Development for BC Soccer. “The Canada Games presents BC players with the opportunity to experience a multi-sport event and also provides the opportunity for additional talent identification for our national team’s program and future university considerations.”

This year’s Canada Summer Games will feature 4,200 athletes competing for honours in 20 disciplines at 20 different venues.  During the 16 days of competition, perseverance, team spirit, sweat, entertainment, and success will all be on the menu.  This is a great recipe for a spectacular event!
