OneAbility Games: The PLAY Resource Hub

Friday, May 8, 2026

We are proud to help bring the OneAbility Games to Richmond this May. As a Program Collaborator, BC Soccer strives to make adapted sport more accessible to all.

The OneAbility Games are a dynamic, multi-sport disability event that creates opportunities for K-12 students to participate in sporting events  inspired by showcase events featuring competitive athletes from the disability sport community.

The Games are divided into two main streams. The PLAY stream is focused on school-age participants (grades K-12), with supportive programming being offered in schools and communities to develop the skills and confidence to play at the OneAbility Games!

The ACHIEVE stream features elite-level competitive sport events, highlighting regional, provincial, and national adapted sport competitions. These high-performance events are being held in collaboration with provincial and national sport organizations, offering athletes the chance to compete.

The OneAbility Games are driving systemic change for how inclusion, accessibility and the role of sport in education are all viewed. Bringing together students of all abilities for physical activity, The Games aim to build healthier communities that are more inclusive and provide stronger futures for all.

A key pillar in BC Soccer's Strategic Plan is the development of a better future through soccer and connecting all levels of the game, paving the way for participants to thrive and reach their full potential. Special focus is dedicated to creating opportunities for identification and progression, leveraging our infrastructure, and improving the overall quality and accessibility of programs across BC

BC Soccer encourages everyone to visit the OneAbility Games between May13-17 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Click here for more information on how to get involved in the OneAbility Games.
