School Extrenal Sports Credit for High School Students

 

The BC Ministry of Education is responsible for the External Credentials Program and the Sport Credits Portion of this program is administered and monitored by the Sport and Recreation Branch of the Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport.

Player Requirements
 
 
Player / Athlete 10
Must be an active player within the Y League or Under 13 / Under 14 Provincial Team. Reference letter required, please see contact information below.
Player / Althlete 11
Must be an active player within the Under 15 or Under 16 Provincial Team. Reference letter required, please see contact information below.
Player / Athlete 12
Must be an active player within the Provincial Team Program attending National Championships. Reference letter required, please see contact information below.
 
Official (Referee) Requirements
 
Referee / Official / Athlete 10
Successfully passed the Small Sided Games Referee Clinic and obtain a letter from your Local Club or District Soccer Association outlining involvement, including a minimum of 25 hours of practical officiating experience.  Submit this letter to the BC Soccer Office.
Referee / Official / Athlete 11
Successfully passed the BC Soccer Entry Level Referee Clinic and obtain a letter from the Local Club or District Soccer Association outlining involvement, including a minimum of 50 additional hours of practical officiating experience from Official 10. Submit this letter to the BC Soccer Office.
Referee / Official / Athlete 12
Successfully passed of the BC Soccer Entry Level Referee Clinic and obtain a letter from the Local District Soccer Association outlining involvement, including a minimum of 50 additional hours of practical officiating experience from Official 11.  Submit this letter to the BC Soccer Office.
 
Coach Requirements
 
Coach / Athlete 10
No preapproved programs
Coach / Athlete 11
30 hours of coaching experience monitored and reviewed by an Introduction to Competition trained coach or NCCP Level 2 certified coach in the sport you are being evaluated in.
