Corner Kicks® Volume 1: Playing the Right Angles to Promote Community Soccer (2009) is designed for BC Soccer Clubs, Districts and Leagues to help foster effective promotion of the game at the community level. It is the first in a series of promotional resources developed exclusively for BC Soccer members; inspired by those attending the Youth and Senior Workshops held in the spring of 2008 in Delta, B.C. and by those members who consulted with us to help improve the level and scope of services and programs BC Soccer delivered at the community level.
Many of you rated local promotion of the game as both a leading priority and a big challenge for Clubs, Districts and Leagues. Thus Corner Kicks® Volume 1 presents the basics of event management for member Clubs, Districts and Leagues, along with media relations, broadcast relations, community relations, corporate relations and government relations. It also features a catalogue of media resources, print promotional materials and radio resources.
This resource is possible in large part through the support of Impact Canopies Canada, a company specializing in canopies, flags and other promotional resources and one committed to soccer at the community level. You will note that one of the special features of Corner Kicks® Volume 1 is a catalogue of Impact promotional materials designed specifically for you. Most important is a special offer available exclusively for BC Soccer members.
We believe that Corner Kicks® Volume 1 will help our members in developing and growing the game where it all begins; in clubs serving communities throughout B.C. Working together in this and other areas will enable more and more British Columbians and Canadians to share in the Global Game and Universal Passion that is soccer!
